Good Product, Does It's Job
Appears to be made out of heavy duty cast Iron. Unit is heavy. I could only find this product here reasonably priced. The original ones plunger cracked and was letting water leak out through its seams. Was over 10 years however, very durable and rugged. With this new one I replaced just the head and its guts. Fixed my problems, no more leaks.

Q: Can this Atmospheric Vacuum breaker be used on a sprinkler system? I have a damaged Pressure Vacuum breaker and trying to replace it.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThis device should never be used in installations that are under continuous pressure. Therefore, never place a shut-off or check valve downstream of AVB's. This device shall not be installed in a concealed or inaccessible location, nor where the venting water from the device during normal functioning may be deemed objectionable. So as long as the sprinkler system does not meet any of these stipulations that should be fine.
