Q: I asked if this product was lead free before I bought it as it is going to be installed on a municipal water system and the answer that I received back was that it was "the repair kit is a replacement part for the Zurn models 1" 375XL and 375 which are both lead free units. so the repair kit will also be lead free". Having received that response, I ordered the product, however when I open it today - there is a tag on the cartridge stating "Warning - this product is not lead free in accordance with US Federal Law and is illegal in the US for use in potable services or to install in water systems intended for human consumption" do I am a bit confused. I can send a picture of the label on the cartridge if that would help.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouseThe RK1-375V repair kit is lead free and safe to use on potable water! Unfortunately Zurn had a few kits get out incorrectly labeled so this is why the repair kit says it is not lead free. Zurn has assured us this is indeed a lead free product.
