The door panel features rounded safety corners, which provide an architecturally pleasing appearance. The one-piece trim flange will not rack, sag or distort. The unique continuous concealed hinge will not bind or corrode, allowing the door to operate freely time and time again. For easy installation, the mounting frame is 1-1/4" deep, giving maximum clearance behind the door frame.

Quality Will Vary
Bought two 12" steel doors. One was as-advertised and fine, the other came with two defects. It had an unsightly and very obvious paint drip on the outside corner of the door, and the door was offset and would not fit flush into the frame; it could not be closed and latched. It was apparent it received no visual quality check before being packaged at the factory. Either that, or it was plucked from the "Defective" bin and shipped anyway. No, it wasn't shipping damage. Fortunately, SupplyHouse issued a refund. If you order an Acudor product you'd better check it out before your merchandise return window expires.

It is easy to install, as there are holes for mounting it on all sides of the frame (in case you don't have blocking on two sides). The steel is heavy guage. The dimensions on inside/outside matched exactly what was shown on the website. Overall this is a great price for a well designed product.

I had built at my home, 25 years ago, 4 small entry columns, each with LV lighting and irrigation lines for potted plants on top. Over the years the 'fall off' water created rust in original 8x8 doors. So they were easy to remove, and your 8x8 doors fit right in. Thank you.

There is no knob just the slit that you use a flat head screwdriver to open. It is a good access door.

Q: There are two listings for the 18x18 access door. Both appear to be stainless steal and have the same description. The price of one is $37 the other is $177. Can you tell me the difference between the two? I need an access door that will be used outdoors.
