I determined that the gear train inside the motor housing was slipping. So I went online and found the zone valve at Pex, but didn't want to replace the whole valve. Then I clicked on related items and there was the motor listed. I was a little apprehensive about ordering it since I did not have a parts list for the valve. I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. I received the part [...] and installed it in 10 minutes. Heat has been working ever since. Thanks PEX.

Comments about Replacement Motor for V8043 Zone Valves:

I bought the HW Zone Valve motor, it arrived in a couple days, and I easily installed it myself. The trick is to disconnect and connect one wire at a time. You can't go wrong. I probably saved myself a couple hundred dollars.

Can this motor be replaced without draining even if it the valve is stuck open?

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

Yes you can as long as you're only changing the motor. It doesn't matter if the valve is stuck open because when you change the motor you are only handling the wires, you're not opening the pipe.

It can be replaced without turning off or draining . Instructions come with the valve motor.

Will this unit work on an Erie AG13A01A PopTop Actuator that is part of an Erie VT2317G13A01A PopTop Valve Assembly?
Asked on 10/15/2012 by TiteWad from Reno

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

It is unlikely that a Honeywell motor would work with an Erie actuator.. Part 30-118-A is the replacement motor for AG13A01A actuators.

  • Replacement Motor for V8043 Zone Valves

    Q:

I have a White-Rodgers 2E290A zone valve. Will the 802360JA/U replacement motor fit the White-Rodgers valve? If not, can you recommend a motor that will fit?
    Asked on 11/7/2011 by JBX

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

The Honeywell motor will not work on the 2E290A valve. Part 13S16-101 is White-Rodgers' recommended replacement for the entire zone valve.

  • Replacement Motor for V8043 Zone Valves

    Q:

The label of the product I have has all the same information except the numbers at the very bottom, a group of 4 digits followed by two digits. Mine is 1040 40 but as I stated all other numbers including the UPC are the same. So what is the difference?
Asked on 9/18/2011 by Hard Headed Heater Repair Rookie from Denver, Colorado

    1 answer

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

Those numbers are likely the date code. As long as you are trying to replace the motor on a V8043A, V8043E, or V8043F zone valve this should be the correct part.
