Perfect replacement
Installed easily, threads matched old version that corroded. After draining pipes, 5 minutes to install. I recommend tightening the cold water side arm first, then gradually tightening the hot water inlet and the outlet sides to prevent binding the cold water threads. Hopefully Teflon inside will help this valve last longer. I plan to adjust temp up and down a bit a few times a year to prolong life of the valve. Fixed our hot water temperature issue. Comes set for 120F, so install and check temp before playing with the allen key. The self-adhesive pipe thermometer is a nice addition. If you want to place the installation date tag, be sure to put it on the side arm before installation.

Works as expected
This mixing valve consistently regulates the hot water supply to our home at our desired 115 degrees with the 80 gallon Steibel heat pump water heater set at its maximum 140 degrees. This yields an additional 20-25 gallons of hot water for us in Miami. Also with the electrical booster in the water heater set at 125 degrees, it almost never turns on, allowing the heat pump to work almost exclusively to provide the necessary hit water. There is no noticeable decrease in pressure in our 5 1/2 bath home.

Comes with a cap on the record port
I'm using this for a tankless application where the vertical orientation is a boon for my layout. The tee configuration of other products were inconvenient.
