It is a totally submersible pump with a built-in, advanced non-mercury mechanical switch that automatically triggers operation when condensate in the pan or reservoir reaches a preset level. Then, automatic shutoff occurs when the condensate level drops. Low weight, compact size, high lift and quiet operation make the Little Giant line of ABS pumps perfect for in-pan condensate and other waste-water removal.

I will not order anything from Supply House again! Rating 0
The first pump arrived broken due to poor packing. I asked customer service and tech support to require specific changes to packing before I would accept a replacement pump. The replacement arrived broken a week later with no attempt made to improve the packing! Desperate now after weeks with no pump, I gathered up all unbroken parts from the two new pumps, added good parts remaining from my five year old pump that died, and created one working pump that went back into service. Supply House had no interest in a real solution.

Love these pumps. My AC unit is in basement. This little pump is a workhorse pumping out the ac condensate from basement to outside into flowerbed. Great product.

Good product but overpriced.
The pump works fine for me as a garage drainage sump pump. Unfortunately there are very few alternative pumps for shallow pan use and this pump is overly expensive.
