Did the Trick
After going through the normal diagnostics, I narrowed my AO Smith water heater problem down to this part. This was the best price I could find and it only took a few days to arrive. The unit was packaged very well. Installation instructions were clear-- the only difference was the location of the gas inlet line so I had to reconfigure the piping slightly. It turned out to look better than the original line. I turned everything back on and it works like a champ.

I would not buy this product again.
The same product was sent to me 3 times and it was not the correct one however the customer service was excellent. I would buy again from SupplyHouse if I need anything in the future.

Perfect fit and great instructions. It fixed my problem.
This solved all of my issues. The water heater would kick on but never ignite. I replaced the igniter and that did not fix the problem. The gas valve fixed the problem. Thank you for helping me cross reference the part number.

Not reliable
Now on my 3rd one in 5 years. Seem to die out after about 2 1/2 years. Rest of the water heater is still good, so I keep buying them. Avoid if possible.

I'm so glad that White Rodgers had a replacement for the older style gas control on my older water heater from 2004. Fits right in and works fine if you follow the directions! The problem is, the installer didn't trust it when the instructions showed replacing the orifice on the burner. This is a necessity. We went round and round with the water heater manufacturer and SupplyHouse before I told him to just replace the orifice. Worked fine after that!

Product fixed the problem with gas water heater. Very expensive for the solenoid coil that was bad, Not Supply Houses fault but the manufacturer.not selling just that part.
