Cheaper than a new water heater!
Won't buy an AO Smith water heater again because their customer service refused to help and would only recommend a new water heater. But after troubleshooting on my own and narrowing the problem down to this part, I was able to replace it myself and save a ton of money! Even more so since it was way cheaper here than anywhere else.

Forced to buy the box.
Had to buy the box for the water heater because for the second time in four years the box failed. The new box had four hours of run time when it too failed. Five times I tried to reset the box per instructions with no results. The heater was nine years old so I went out and bought another type of water heater.
