Be careful ordering this for older AO Smith/ Kenmore WH
I have an older Kenmore water heater (made by AO Smith) and wanted to order the OEM part. The original part became obsolete and was replaced with this one. Come to find out the original anode had about a two-inch nipple on it versus this part with a five-inch one. Luckily my water heater piping connections were not soldered so I could have used it, but I was really aggravated about paying premium pricing and it didn't exactly match what was originally installed anyway. I returned it and will go with an aftermarket part.
