This is a good product. I wish it had come with some instructions though. The repair was not difficult but the tube came with an extra part that my old one did not. Thinking there was a reason for this extra part, I assembled it with the extra part. After installation, I realized it was not needed and could cause an issue in the future. I recommend if your water heater only has a rubber gasket, install only the rubber gasket, not the plastic spacer that also is included.

Great place
I have used supply house many times and could not be more satisfied. I especially like the ease of finding the part I need. The parts are well packed and arrive on time. This is my go to place to get what I need

Replacement dip tube works great.
The dip tube replacement was fairly easy to install. The hardest part was flushing out the tank of pieces of the defective one.I would recommend replacing the tank supply line shut-off valve if it is older than 10 yrs. Before replacement, shower time was 10 minutes, after replacement, 30 min shower with hot water still available.

Hot Water Again!
This dip tube was the part needed to get the water heater delivering hot water again. It was easy to replace, although it took some plumbing skills. Before if we ran 5-10 gallons of hot water the temperature would drop, and could only get 5-6 minutes max for a shower. With the new tube in the hot water now lasts beyond a long shower and stays hot like it should.

Fixed my problem !
My 50 gal gas AO Smith Hot Water Heater was working fine, and suddenly started running out of hot water after about 10 minutes of use. Ckecked the thermostat and burner looked good. All inidcations the dip tube directing cold water to the bottom of the tank had broken off. I easily installed the replacement and now have plenty of hot water! To make it easier, to reconnect the copper pipe that I cut, I use a 3/4" Shark connector.

Works
The only hard part here is that the inlet nipple on your water heater may be rusted stuck. Once the old nipple is off (whole or in pieces), you drop in the tube, clean the threads, and put on a new nipple No more hot and warm surges or debris coming off the old tube.
