Extremely dissatisfied
Purchased the HPTS-50 Voltex AL Smart Hybrid Electric Heat Pump Water Heater in part because of the app to monitor its status, had a Rheem before and the app worked great. In spite of the fact that this is advertised as working with the app, it doesn't, I have been trying to work with AO Smith tech support for two months now with no resolution in sight. This is not a problem with supplyhouse, but with AO Smith for falsely advertising that it works with the app.

As fast as described.
I am a contractor, but these units are sold out in my area for at least 5-7 weeks. This one is top quality and delivered fast. I have had no issues that were not easily taken care of by Supply house, so I recommend them to anyone!!

Early heat pump failures
The heat pump failed on my unit after 11 months. Same story 14 months later on replacement unit. Plumbers are expensive where I live and warranty does not cover labor. Very disappointed

App is disappointing and came with leaking electrode
Overall works great but app sucks and is not as advertised. Can't set a schedule for water temp setpoint. Doesn't indicate water temp and HP or electrode operation or history. Took 2 hours on phone with tech support just to get the app to connect to WH. Also, when filling the water heater had major leak at top electrode. Had to drain and run to hardware store to get wrench to remove and reinstall electrode. Didn't expect that. Very disappointing

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffHi Charles, thanks for writing in. The user is notified when the anode is consumed and needs to be replaced. The smart sensor alerts the user in the event a leak does occur for added peace of mind. Notifications come through the iCOMM function on the AO Smith app.
