Great product, great company

Not for Open loop / potable water!
Despite what other websites say in their product descriptions, the RX-15 is NOT for potable water. The User Guide explicitly warns against this use.

Mounted this tank just prior to the first circulator pump on the hot side of my radiant heat system. Secured to concrete wall using the Hydroclaw bracket and Tapcon screws - really solid and secure. This was a retrofit on an existing system, so I connected using an existing hose bib, some 1/2 pex tubing and sharkbite fittings. Easy to charge with a bicycle pump to house pressure. Very good build quality, great warranty.

RX-15 - perfect fit, delivered 1st time
I had already tried to purchase this item from another source, only to recieve the same wrong product twice. When I called PexSupply to verify that I was ordering the correct item, the person who I spoke with would not recommend any Expansion Tank without verifying that it was the right choice.
I am very pleased with both PexSupply and the tank. It was an exact fit.

Q: What is the difference between the RX-15 and EX-15 Extrol expansion tanks? Do each of them have the butyl EPDM barrier? What is the expected life of each?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffRadiant Extrol models have an additional plastic liner, protecting the tank from corrosion in higher oxygen systems such as those not using oxygen barrier tubing. Both tanks should have similar service life so long as they are in installed in the correct type of systems.
