Fixed my mistake!
I made the mistake of scrubbing away the textured surface on my tray top as I thought it was stubborn calcification. This replacement tray was delivered fast and at a great price. Fit perfectly and seems to distribute water to the filter as good or better than my original tray. Takes less than 5 minutes to changeout on an Aprilaire 768 whole house humidifier.

Perfect replacement part
I needed to replace my 20 year old distribution tray, and as expected this unit was a perfect replacement for my Model 700 humidifier. Kudos to Supply House for unexpectedly getting it to me the next day.

This item is great - refer to my recommendation,
Water Distribution Tray (SKU4246) This is used to distribute water evenly across a filter in the humidifier. It works well but gets clogged up with scale after one season and needs to be replaced.
It should be sold together with the scale control insert (SKU4236) because one won't work without the other. It would be good if you could coordinate that with Aprilaire and make it happen.

Verified Reply- Hello Carl, For Aprilaire Model 550, the WDT is not available separately anymore. You would have to purchase the Maintenance Kit, which is SKU #4793.
