Happy with my Bypass Damper
For me, I saw a picture of the bypass damper which matched the broken part exactly. I had been advised by some parts dealers that since it was not a 'Trane' part that it would not work. Wrong! I was glad that I could have returned it had it not worked.

Just what I needed!
The handle on the damper had broken off and I tried to fix it with gorilla glue, but since you have to twist it to operate it, it didn't hold. I'm glad I could just replace the damper and not the whole unit. Installing the new damper was a sinch. Had a new filter door and new damper installed before the HVAC guy came to do the annual maintenance!

Works Great
I'm not very handy but it was an pretty easy install even for me. Took some effort to get the knob off but eventually got there. Ordered it on a Saturday and arrived and installed that Tuesday. Amazing. Saved me a good deal of money over the technician coming to install.

The right part for Aprilaire 600
Used it to replace a broken damper in Aprilaire 600. Supply house shipped it in a day and I had a replacement installed within 2 days of the order. For those trying to install, the knob needs to be pushed and then slid out. Then put the damper in the vent. Push the part with the sprint out of the vent so that the tapered section is visible and then push the knob into the tapered section.
