Great pump

These pumps are great. Easy to install and quiet compared to other brands that pull the water out with a diaphragm. The only noise they make is a little hum when they pump out the reservoir not really noticeable.

Good design, but noise unacceptable in domestic applications

I bought four of these to handle the condensate from four new interior heads off of a shared heat pump. Long story short, while the design is good, and they seem reliable, the noise these things emit when the pump motor is activated is unacceptable for any kind of domestic indoor application where people are going to be present. It's on the level of someone drilling into a brick wall, and the worst part about it is that, for whatever reason, it gets louder right before it turns off. We had one in a bedroom, and it woke up both occupants every single time it went off, meaning they couldn't use their A/C at night. Another was in an office, and the noise was so loud that it was interrupting phone calls and meetings. I would only recommend using these in commercial spaces where the noise can be ignored, or in domestic settings where people won't be within fifty feet or so. It's worth noting that we replaced these with 4x Refco Gobi II pumps, which are nearly silent, and about half the price of these Aspen pumps to begin with. The HVAC company I worked with was so impressed with them that they indicated they would start installing them for their customers instead of the Aspen pumps due to the noise.

Go with Gobi II instead!

Had an Aspen Mini White condensate pump on my basement mini-split system. It was pretty loud when it started running, and then got ridiculously loud the last couple seconds before shutting off. Over and over again. Terribly annoying. I replaced it with the Gobi II, which is nearly silent. And it cost less. And it has a higher capacity. Skip the Aspen and "Go with Gobi". ps. I will give credit where it's due: the Mini White's access to the reservoir for cleaning, and they way it holds the drain hose is better than the Gobi II. The Mini White's reservoir can be removed without disturbing the pump, hoses, and wiring, whereas the Gobi II pump and reservoir must be removed from the bracket as a pair then separated. It also has an inlet molded in the structure to hold the inlet hose. But those two advantages don't even begin to make up for it's loud noise vs. the Gobi II.

VERY LOUD - Only buy for commercial use

I had three of these aspen units put in my bedroom and office of my house. They work great, but sound like a plane was taking off. I bought special foam to try to reduce the sound, but it did very little. This would be great in a commercial place, but not in a home. I switched to the Refco - Gobi II. I am so happy with them. They work and are quiet. I normally do not do reviews, but this was a life saver.

It did what I asked it to do...

The pump works and it helped with an installation where an internal pump was not working properly. I used it with an LG wall hung and it's appearance was definitely not what I hoped for. It did not fit flush against the cabinet and became a bit of an eyesore. Otherwise, its a good pump.
