Spiralink is a permanent replacement for the failure-prone 4-spring, "fly away" coupling used as original equipment in B & G circulators and clones by Armstrong, White-Rogers, Taco, and others.
Spiralink's single spring acts as a universal joint with 3-dimensional flexibility that compensates for any degree of shaft misalignment. The one-piece design has no connecting parts to produce the friction that causes noise, wear and early failure of old-style couplings.
Spiralink protects bearing assemblies from damage by broken couplings, and its flex reduces the torque load on bearings and seals. On top of that, it's far easier to install, especially in awkward locations.

Just yesterday I heard the sound of a traditional style coupler fail, once hear it, you'll recognize it, (it radiates through the pipes)...
I bought two of these as a "keep on hand, just incase" sort of thing...
Anyhow, I heard the sound, saw the old style coupler had failed, popped the motor off, swapped out to the Spiralink Coupler, had it back together in less than 30 minutes...
It even runs smoother and quieter now... Only reason I gave it 4 stars, I was going to re-position the coupler, to make sure it was seated and the set screw found the detent in the pump shaft, I couldn't loosen the set screw again... So, I ended up leaving well enough alone... Hope it doesn't cause a problem further down the road... But if the new style coupler lasts as long as advertised, it'll never be a problem, right...? Let's hope so...

Great Product!
Been using these for two winters now on BG pumps and they're great. Huge noise reduction / vibration compared to the factory style, and it looks like they will last. Try it, you wont be disappointed.
