I have installed this product on drywall with good results. Why would you put tile behind the baseboard covers? It seems a waste of time and money. Why not install the covers at the proper height and tile above them. Or, if you must tile why not drill between tiles on the grout lines for the brackets. You can place the bracket anywhere along the cover as long as they are evenly spaced.
The side that attaches to the wall measures 1-3/8" high. It extends 1-3/4" from the wall.
There is a very good reason why we ensure this part is finished in black. By having the wall brackets black, they become invisible when the BB001 panel is dropped in place. Due to the fact there is no light inside the panel, the many holes in the panel appear to be black. If we coated the wall bracket in the same white (which would be far preferable from a manufacturing perspective) you would easily see the wall brackets on the finished assembled view.
You are correct; the WB001 wall bracket will support our panel and endcaps. Sometimes unsupported finned tube element requires additional support when the original back plate and brackets are removed. Our product does not support the finned tube element. The solution however is simple. The finned tube element can be supported by securing a wire around the copper pipe and securing the other end to the wall by use of a fastener. I would surmise that your company would have your own internal expertise to suggest an alternative to this idea. Perhaps a wood block could also be used to prop up the finned tube element.
