Description

Wall Bracket for Baseboard (Includes Screws) - Black

You WILL need brackets if any of the following conditions are true:

1) New construction
2) If you ripped out old baseboard heaters, including back plates
3) If the old brackets are shorter than 7-1/4"

You will need to purchase 2 brackets (put one at each end) if the baseboard heater cover is less than 5 feet long. If you are purchasing a 5, 6, or 7 foot baseboard heater cover, you will need 3 brackets per unit (put one at each end and one in the middle of the unit).

The wall brackets come with the screw you will need and it is highly recommend to screw the brackets into a stud.

These are well made but I think over-priced

These "L" shaped brackets are screwed into wall to hold the base-boarders replacement baseboard heat pipe covers. NO FAULT of SUPPLY HOUSE but I think they are over-priced. The same function can be accomplished using a corner bracket and a flat washer, from a big box store such as HD.

Expensive.

I ordered a pair of these thinking they were "special" for the installation of a 3' baseboard cover. They are nothing more than "L" brackets. I ended up using L brackets I got from a home center because they were longer and it allowed me to avoid drilling through tile behind the baseboard. If you are simply installing into a wall, use them but you can buy 3 packs of pairs of L brackets for each one of these.

Q: I have gutted my bathroom removing the old baseboard completely. I will be tiling behind the baseboard. Do I simply drill into the tile to install the L bracket?

I have installed this product on drywall with good results. Why would you put tile behind the baseboard covers? It seems a waste of time and money. Why not install the covers at the proper height and tile above them. Or, if you must tile why not drill between tiles on the grout lines for the brackets. You can place the bracket anywhere along the cover as long as they are evenly spaced.

The side that attaches to the wall measures 1-3/8" high. It extends 1-3/4" from the wall.

Q: I notice this part is black. It won't match the product itself. Does it come in the matching color for the baseboard?

There is a very good reason why we ensure this part is finished in black. By having the wall brackets black, they become invisible when the BB001 panel is dropped in place. Due to the fact there is no light inside the panel, the many holes in the panel appear to be black. If we coated the wall bracket in the same white (which would be far preferable from a manufacturing perspective) you would easily see the wall brackets on the finished assembled view.

Q: I see that if I don't have the back part of the baseboard heater I will need this item. I assume that this is to support the cover, but how are the pipes supported? Is an additional part needed or will this support the heating element as well? Thank you.

You are correct; the WB001 wall bracket will support our panel and endcaps. Sometimes unsupported finned tube element requires additional support when the original back plate and brackets are removed. Our product does not support the finned tube element. The solution however is simple. The finned tube element can be supported by securing a wire around the copper pipe and securing the other end to the wall by use of a fastener. I would surmise that your company would have your own internal expertise to suggest an alternative to this idea. Perhaps a wood block could also be used to prop up the finned tube element.
