Safer alternative to acid drain cleaner
The benefits outweighs the minor inconvience of using hot water to activate. Does not instantly destroy, skin, clothes, or metal plating like the pro- liquid cleaners (sulfuric acid) will. Won't 'leak' if you don't fully tighten container cap. Odor much reduced when contacted with organic material as compared to acid.
All that being said, it is obviously not safe to consume or touch, and don't go sticking your face near the drain to 'see if it's working'. Safe for metal and plastic pipes, and tailpieces, but if you have existing leaks, they will get worse.
You will still have to siphon out standing water on totally clogged drain, but you would have to do that with acid too.
Watch out for violent reaction when accidentally combined with any acid product...i.e. if someone used liquid acid first don't use this!

I paid the plumber to unclog my drain multiple times. The last time he left the bottle in the trash and now I buy it here and save myself the plumber's fee. I always have some ready to go and give it to others when they have a problem. Highly recommend!!!

not just for maintenance

Amazed!
My teenage daughter who has quite a head of hair had clogged up the bathtub and sink in her bathroom. I had had a plumber come out to unclog it, and he charged me $200 to use this or something like it.
When they got clogged again a couple of months later, way past what Drano could handle, I went looking to find what the plumber had used and came across Blue Monster.
I was shocked how fast it ate through those clogs. We're talking merry seconds and the drains were draining properly. I strongly recommend this!

Drain opener works
Used for a clogged kitchen sink with a garbage disposal. Dumped directly into the disposal and ran some hot water. Then waited for 10 min and rinsed with more hot water. After 2 treatments the drain worked fine. Still good 2 weeks after.
