Paint flakes everywhere
This pipe looks like it was just galvanized pipe dipped in black paint. As soon as I picked it up, the paint was flaking all over my hands. When I out a wrench on it the paint chipped right off exposing bright silver pipe. It made a mess all over the place.
It still did the job as far as I can tell so far and I need to paint it for outside anyway. I just haven't finished the project yet so I haven't tried to paint the painted pipe yet

Machine tooled pipe nipples
Supplyhouse pipe nipples are the best I have seen. Precisely cut and threaded by machine tooling makes them superior to the pipe dies that other sources provide. No oil inside, outside or on the thread provides a great looking finished product and very cost effective as well.

Reasonable Price, Acceptable Product
The nipples worked fine. Still needed a bit of deburring at the cut, but no loose chips, just a bit of diameter reduction. Would work in many cases without the extra deburr.
