5/8" Hose Barb x 3/4" Female Hose Brass Garden Hose Swivel

Works much better than those I had bought from a hardware Depot store.

After trying several brass-plated fittings from a large depot home supplier that kept leaking, I finally wised up and bought this solid brass fitting. No leaks! And by all indications, this should continue be remain leak-free for several seasons to come.

I've been having problems with hoses with brass toned aluminum connectors bonding themselves to faucets and other brass hose parts. I've started cutting those aluminum parts off the hoses and putting brass ends on them before they can cause problems. I'm hoping that the brass parts will be able to be moved to new hoses when the time comes, but even if they can't be moved, I won't have to have an angle grinder to take the hose off the hose bib. All this cheap stuff is really a problem.

I have hundreds of feet of 3/4 garden hose and occasionally I do need to make repairs to them. The fittings found at the big box stores are only 5/8 diameter suitable for both 5/8 and 3/4 hose. These fitting are a full 3/4 and do not restrict the water flow through the hose.

I use these to repair garden hoses not for PEX. If it were for PEX I think it would say 5/8" PEX X 3/4" FHBGHS i have been able to use crimp rings to install them on most hoses instead of a hose clamp which you have to cover with tape to keep it from cutting or scratching your hand or digits

The barbs just slid into the poly pipe, barely scraping the outside. I had to use 2 clamps to get the leakage to be minimal, but I still have a little leakage.
