Works at a great price
PEX tubing has at least 6 different ways to make a connection. Each way to connect seems to have a separate tool that is needed and each tool is expensive for a DIYer. For the Press type of connection, this tool is reasonably priced and I had no issues using it to make the connection. I would definitely recommend this tool.

Doesn't work in floor/ceiling joist bay
To open this model both arms swing open preventing it from being used in tight space or within a standard floor/ceiling joist opening. The Veiga brand press tool only has one arm that opens making it more maneuverable in tight spaces.

I'm surprised these aren't everywhere.
I use this nearly everyday. It crimps Viega Stainless Steel rings and does a great job. My only concern is that it actually doesn't crimp the name brand Viega pro press to pex fittings that have the ring attached to the fitting very well. It's very hard to compress on those fittings. But I normally use Nibco fittings and standalone SS cup rings and they crimp easy.

There is no substitute
Installing a new ice maker water line to a garage fridge. Have a distribution center with an open cold water port that requires this tool to connect the Pex tubing. It worked the first time. Water tight seal. works great every time and includes two different sizes of tubing seal capability. Price was great. I'll never wear it out but I will always have it when needed.
