- To measure surface temperature on pipe in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, wastewater, industrial process markets
Notes for Installation:
- If thermal insulation materials outside the metal pipes are not removed for the installation of this thermometer gauge, there won't be direct contact from the gauge to the pipe, resulting in a lower temperature reading than the actual temperature of the pipe.
- This gauge is designed for indoor use. If the gauge is installed to an outdoor pipe line, or in an outdoor environment, there may be an inaccurate temperature reading due to wind or fast air flow.
- This gauge has a 2.5% tolerance (6°F).
- All gauges have been adjusted and tested before shipping.

Inaccurate! Reads 75F on 100F temp pipe
Title says it all. Seemed like great idea to get temperature of return water but doesn't help if not a crate.
