Work perfect to check a solenoid. Even used it as an emergency fix for a walk in freezer to keep it running until the new part came in.

Great tool for solenoid valves
Works perfectly to open and close regular solenoid valves. Does not work on the stepper motor electronic expansion valves.

Works for mini split heat pump
Even though this magnet can also test larger solenoid valves, it worked perfectly to test the smaller reversing valve in a mini split heat pump. I was able to leave it in the mini split in fall until the replacement solenoid came in later that week. Don't leave it in all winter, the mini split won't be able to defrost.
