Radiator air vent valve designed to remove automatically any air
trapped inside the heat emitters both during the filling of the system
and in normal operation.
I really like this little vent. My system uses vents like this except they require a screwdriver to open and won't vent unless you open them. These vents allow me to open them with my fingers.
The automatic venting feature requires that you replace the disk periodically. I probably won't do that and won't use that feature, but even so these are easier to use than those that require a tool.

Watch for leaks
Installed 12 of these on panel rads two years ago. They work as described, but one of them cracked internally and caused a major leak onto the floor. Caleffi was unable to tell me why it had happened. In the process of changing out the others to avoid another leak, I found two others had also cracked but not leaked. i'd recommend you tighten the valve cap just barely enough to get them not to leak. I had turned them just snug, but I think the repeated heating/cooling cycles had eventually cracked the outer valve rings.

Easy to use.
I replaced these on all the baseboard radiators in my home. They are easier to manually vent air than my old valves. One down side, the instructions say the internal disc needs to be replaced every two years, so we'll see how that goes at that time.

I would purchase again
they were installed on a loop in a loop hot water system as a way to automatically purge the air from the radiators. upon running the system a few of the vents needed to be opened to purge the air. they should have done that automatically per the instruction book.

Great product!
I was skeptical at first but have 2 of the 3 installed and they appear to be working without any leaks! Installed on second floor and they are automatically venting air out of the system. They especially worked well on second floor bath where i had no heat due to trapped air. I would recommend and buy again. Much easier to use than the key/coin type!

Absolutely would buy again.
Simple and easy to install. Worked with Supply House CS team after I realized I didn't order enough. They were very accomodating.

Very nice!
I used these on a few cast iron radiators. When bleeding the system, they let the air out of each radiator and almost no water.

Auto-bleed valves work well.
I bought several of these for my Runtal radiators. I had Tyco auto-bleed valves which started to fail after 15 years. So far I like these better because manual bleeding does not require a wrench. Finger opening and closing the valve is effortless.
