Update, My new go-to vent.
This air vent lasted 5 years when other vents only lasted 2-3 years. Unfortunately we have very hard water. It damages the air vent causing small & sometimes bigger leaks.The valve worked flawlessly but a small leak was starting because of hard water.I love the service valve that comes with air vent. It took 3- minutes to replace because of the service valve. The boiler only lost a few drops of water during replacement.1- I shut off boiler let-it cool.2- I then shut water at main and 1 more upstream. Then I hold in place with open end wrench the service valve that stays put. Finally unscrew the air vent put sealer on new vent screw in. (You can open and clean out air vent but when hard water gets in it's a bear to clean).Congratulations, you just saved yourself a few bucks And again watch YouTube if needed for more tutorials.

Q: Will this work in a hydraulic oil system? By the specifications it will work but the system that I need to use it in has hydraulic oil not water.
