Description
–
The NCLX incorporates an inert thermal element coating that provides effective isolation from mineral deposits (liming). The NCLX features include a cast bronze body, brass and stainless steel internal parts, silicone seat disc and stainless steel spring. The NCLX comes standard with a test lever. The valve is completely automatic and reseats after either temperature or pressure relief. The NCLX is available in male inlets and female outlets with several options in shank and element lengths.

Could Not Have Been A Better Experience
The relief valve I bought was exactly what I needed to repair my water heater. I couldn't find this specific valve anywhere within a 100-mile radius. SupplyHouse truly came to the rescue, helping us get our water heater back up and running. I can't say enough nice things about the speed with which they shipped the valve and how quickly I received it. I will definitely use them again.

Trouble seating.
I've been using this brand for years and have never had issues with them. Installed 2 last week, and 1 dripped after testing, thought I had it stopped and was called back to job 2 days later for a full bucket of water. Had to release it and them tap several times with a rubber mallet to get the valve to seat.
Second new valve installed that day popped off when their solar tank went to 210F. Valve refused to re-seat itself and had to replace it.

Bought As A Spare
This was a direct replacement for the relief on my hot water heater. I manually cycle the valve every year prior to draining the tank of the heater and I needed the spare in case the old doesn't re-seat after cycling.

Does what you would expect
The only problem I've had with these valves is that some tend to weep after a year or two. Seems to depend on the water and how often it is tested.
