Product did not holdup to high heat.
I used this to repack steam radiator valve, but the heat from the valve made the packing very soft and it oozed out of the valve stem.

Refurbish Good Old USA Made Valves
Glad somebody still makes this. It's getting harder and harder to find. Ask for it in a local store and they look at me like I have five heads...
So much better to just take off the bonnet nut and repack and solid old Made in USA valve than to start cutting & sweating pipe only to end up with a cheap replacement valve made in cheaper.
Goes double for that emergency job that always comes up when the supply house is closed.
