Works as expected
I have been replacing tub spout for several years. These tub spouts are basic and work just as you would expect. The only problem I have with these spouts is that the distance from the back of the spout the the beginning of the threaded hole has changed from previous years. Previously I could make the end of my threaded adapter 3 7/8" from the wall. Now, with this spout, I have to change that number to 3 3/8". If I had known that before I purchased the spout I would have looked for a model that would have been the same as I have used for years. I have been standardizing properties for years and now that is changing and reducing efficiency.

Hard to install correctly
The spout is well made but the attachment method makes it hard to install. The previous spout had an O ring seal and just slid on the copper stub. You tighten the screw when its flush with then wall. This one has a clamp on assembly that you slide over the stub, tighten and then screw the tub spout on. There is no way to know how close to the wall the spout will end up when screwed on all the way. I know its made this way to allow using it with several pipe types but if you have 1/2 copper its certainly not the easiest to install.
