16" Pro-Series Braided Stainless Steel Hose Toilet Connector w/ Metal Nut (3/8" Compression x 7/8" Ballcock)

I really wanted to switch to these, as I hate the idea of the plastic nuts on the standard ones. However, I have now tried two of them (a 12" and a 16") and both leaked on BOTH ends. I tightened both ends normally, including a few turns with a wrench on the toilet fill valve side (normally with the plastic nut ones it's hand tight). The leaks were very slow seeping from where the hose crimp enters the nut. A drop every 15 minutes or so. I tried hang tightening the toilet side, no change. Looking at the rubber seals in these, they're not like the regular plastic nut version. The supply valve side specifically has a flat rubber washer instead of a tapered one like they usually have. I don't know...these were unusable for me twice in a row.

When I started looking into replacing our existing supply lines, I discovered that ours were NOT stainless steel. There are many companies out there now that make their plastic supply lines appear to be stainless steel - very sneaky. Make sure you're buying supply lines that are made from stainless steel. They last MUCH longer and are much less prone to bursting.

I love the steel connectors on both ends of supply lines, sometimes I worry about the plastic ones and these give me a little more piece of mind.
