I would not recommend this to anyone
They don't last. The internals are plastic and often crack over time. Nothing is repairable. It's really a shame that these have become the trend for designers/engineers, they're inferior in all ways to a traditional water heater besides their size.

The thermistor was bad our of the box. Tech support stated that it is pretty common. The units works, just throws a constant code. They sent us a new thermistor, but we haven't installed it yet. Also, at .5 gpm, the unit does not work it you turn the cold water on at the same time. You can only use the hot water for it to work. We are going to experiment with slightly larger gpm aerators. We are currently getting 66 degree rise, hoping that if we allow a little more water to flow through, the back pressure from the cold side wont shut the unit off. We will see.
