Very limited

A profession wouldn't have made my mistake, but in my defense it was challenging to tease out the specs on this exact model from all the data that covered dozens of different versions. It turns out that when it says x degree rise at y gpm it's all or nothing. In other words when you exceed the gpm you basically get cold water. I think my faucet is 2 gpm. If I reduce the flow until I get let's say 100 degree water the flow is little more than a dribble.

Second unit failed.

The first unit I received was a used return, SupplyHouse replaced it immediately. The unit was the Spex95. It worked for about 5 months and the electrical contacts melted. They were loud from day one. I didn't bother with a warranty, I just replaced it with the Spex55. That unit lasted just over a year and then it stopped heating. The electrical contacts were loud on the unit as well but they are still functioning. Something else is malfunctioning this time. Spex95 unit was installed with 6 awg wire, < 36' on a 50amp breaker. Spex55 installed using the same wire with a smaller breaker. Breaker never tripped with either unit. The Spex55 never functioned well enough for a single vanity for hand-washing or brushing teeth in the Chicagoland area. The 95 heated well until it failed. The track record is a joke.

I would not buy this product again

Regarding the Eemax SPEX55T point of use water heater: I bought and installed three of these units in my own home. There was so much "magnetic hum" that my wife made me take them out. I took one apart to learn what might be the source. I concluded that it has a relay suited for industrial or large commercial installations but to noisy for a quiet residential bathroom installation. My saving grace was that I did not install them in a customers home. The call backs would have cost me a lot of money and probably a customer.
