Featuring a galvanized steel housing, the Fantech FG 4XL EC Centrifugal Inline Duct Fan is virtually airtight to allow peak performance in any application. Inline fans are installed directly in your duct work to provide powerful ventilation. This 120-volt model can produce a maximum airflow of up to 160 CFM. The FG 4XL EC is constructed with a 4" round duct. Fans include a bracket for mounting to a ceiling or wall. FG EC Series Inline Fans are rated for outdoor use. The FG 4XL EC is equipped with electronically commutated energy-efficient motor which uses up to 30% less energy than standard AC fans. Not only does energy-efficiency save on energy costs, but reduced heating during use increases the motor's lifespan and limits maintenance costs.

I would order this again
I used this fan to kept the oders from cutting oils, etc, from my small basement machine shop from migrating up into the house. It is quiet and moves a lot of air for the size. I ordered it as it has the highest CFM rating for 4" duct. I have the inlet so it pulls air across my lathe so fumes are exhausted straight outside. This fan has electronic speed control. This was not clear in the online catalog. The speed control switch recommended in the catalog does not work with this fan so that is going back. There is a built in speed control on in the junction box on the fan so you don't really need one. If you want a remote speed control, makes sure you get the correct one.
