The RE/REC Series of direct drive centrifugal fans provide an excellent solution for residential or commercial ventilation applications where the fan must be mounted on the exterior of the building. These multi-purpose fans can be used to move air from one or more venting points. Interior noise is not an issue because the fan motor is located outside the building envelope.
The motorized impeller is both statically and dynamically balanced as one integral unit, for vibration free, quiet performance. Motor bearings are a permanently sealed, self-lubricating ball type.

Really solid, well built fan.
Great fan. Only question is why one needs four different screwdrivers to get Into the electrical box and attach wires for power. I don't downgrade this fan for that but it had me running to the tool box. Take it with you if you're working on the roof. The working space inside the electrical connection box is really tight if one is using 12 gauge romex.

We installed about 40 something of these units on some rural area cabinets that where over heating... They were installed in 2006/2007 time frame. They run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with out stopping. We have replaced 4 motor's in the last month. 7-8 years of life is a great life span for a motor in a dusty / wet environment.

Q: Can the Fantech EDF5 Intellitek Control be used for this fan? It so can three fans be tied into to one EDF5 Control?

Yes, this control will work well with that motor. If you were looking to move more air you might be better off going with a bigger unit rather than using 3 separate motors on one control. Hope this helps Dylan D Neumann
