Rn3 Radon Fan is designed for active radon mitigation systems to employ for applications where medium suction and medium flow are needed. It is a perfect choice for elevated Radon levels and poor communication, multiple suction points and/or large sub slab footprint.

Manufactured from two molded plastic pieces seamlessly joined together. It is inherently and permanently airtight ensuring no Radon gas leakage. Easy swap for my old 2002 HP 220
My older Radon Mitigation fan was making a lot of noise, screeching and rumbling. I tried lubricant etc to no effect. I think the casing let in moisture and age contributed to the failure.
I had a spare hour or so and after removing and replacing the casing around the fan and pipe, the wiring was fairly simple, except for one part of the wiring couldn't fit back into its compartment securely, so I just jammed it in there and put the screws on the cover.

This is the second replacement fan I have needed.
The first replacement fan was replaced due to excessive noise and this one is equally noisy with a high pitched whine that is making me prefer to deal with radon gas rather than the noise. I would not recommend Fantech fans.

Not happy.
I installed the fan. This is the first fan of three I am using that makes a high pitched noise. I have two others of the same model that you only hear the low sound of the fan.

This fan is much noisier than the previous fan it replaced
Easy replacement of the previous fan but the new fan is much nosier than the previous fan. It sounds like a car idling outside the house and is high pitched at times.

easy replacement-hope this lasts a long time
this is a replacement for my radon removal fan. I'm not sure why the first one started making a very loud noise after 3 years but luckily it was covered with a 5 yr warranty and I had no problem with supply house replacing it at no charge. Very fast and seamless. The new fan is very quiet and was easy to reinstall.

Direct Replacement for HP220
Install was straight forward and easy since everything was oriented similarly as the old HP220 model. However, this new model is noticeably louder than the HP220. If you plan on installing close to an outdoor living space you might want to consider a quieter Radon fan that has similar CFM's - not sure if there is one. I'm happy that it was easy to install, but I wish it was as quiet as the HP220.

Good product and quick delivery
It was an exact replacement to my 20+ year old pump. Absolutely no issues with switching out the old fan that was failing. **Please note (as this helped me) - If using for Radon, be user to get the radon-rated fan. You can't use a standard fan one due to the moisture that is drawn out.

The casing could be a thicker or insulated to reduce noise. It's not ridiculously loud but way louder than the old Fantech FR 150 - Radon it replaced.
