Very robust and well made.
I am using the Fernco 1002-86 coupling to transition from an HTM (Heat Transfer Module) to 6 inch, then 2inch, PVC piping, so that I can flush the module, rather than soaking it in cleaning fluid. The fit was a tad loose, but the stainless steel clamp pulled in the coupling without distorting it and made a good, non-leaking seal. The coupling "rubber" is very substantial and the thickness appears to be even throughout the piece. And the SupplyHouse price for such a large coupling was very reasonable, the best I could find.
