Well built and very serviceable check valve
This check valve is an easy replacement or installed to a new sump pump or septic tank ejection pump line. The hose clamp installation is quick and easy, and replacement with a new valve is easily performed. This installation is 2" PVC pipe into a 3" iron pipe to a drainage ditch for main and backup pumps. This photo shows the main pump connection to an alternate pipe out to an above ground outlet currently connected to a garden irrigation system. The alternate outlet is also needed for occasional flooding conditions that could be restrictive to the underground pipe, with springtime groundwater the pump rate is calculated at about 12,000 gallons per day. An automatic start generator and backup gasoline water pump is mandatory due to an approximate 20 minutes from a failure to basement flooding event. A previous owner told of a flood condition and could not keep a foot of water out of the basement. The check valve was failed,
