81, 18 GPD Drum Type By-Pass Humidifier (24v)

Very easy to install.Good quality and a minimum moving parts Will be easy to maintain.I also like the parts list.Only thing I wish is that the drum would turn faster.

I have not used the unit so far it is not heating season yet thank God.

This was the smallest unit I could find, so no complain. Installation was little trickier in my situation, but it hasn't too so anything to do with the product!, just not having the space. It's not running yet, we have to wait till winter, ha ha ha

Humidifier works terrific - simple and effective.

Bought the model 81 to replace an existing one. PEXSUPPLY had the lowest price I could find AND shipped/got it NEXT DAY. On top of that, the duct had an in-line damper included! I was very surprised about that, and most pleased. Woulda cost me another $30 to buy one. Was happy they included it!

I bought this humidifier to replace the flow through unit that was installed on my new furnace by the contractor several years ago. Flow through humidifiers need less maintenance, but most of the water goes all the way through the element and down the drain. Water rates in my area are too high to waste this much water. This drum type unit only uses water that will be evaporated, so it is much more efficient. Unfortunately, when I unpacked this unit, I was appalled at how cheaply made it is. Everything looks very flimsy. I was able to install it very easily, mostly because I was replacing an existing unit, so everything was already in place. I was especially glad I could use the existing 6" duct that goes from the output plenum to the humidifier. The one supplied with this product is incredibly flimsy; basically aluminum foil. I am hoping that since this thing just sits on the side of the furnace out of the way that it will give me a few years of good service. But if I had to do it over, I would look for something that is better built.
