Gorton No. 4, 1/8" Straight Vapor Equalizing Valve

This product works great, its much more quieter than my old one, no more hissing sound but there is just a bitt of rattling (probably due to shipping mishandling), and lets the cold air out in a reasonably fast. My one issues is with the packaging, I got it in a plastic bubble bag, it was not sufficient in preventing damage, this caused a small dent on the product during shipping, luckily it didn't have a major impact on the performance. Next time please sent it in a small box. thank you.

I like Gorton valves. I'm in the middle of trying to balance my steam system and get more heat to my second floor. I've been through a succession of smaller and smaller Gortons on the 1st floor to achieve this, the latest purchase being four #4's from Supplyhouse. Gorton valves are pretty bullet proof and reliable, and I really like dealing with Supplyhouse. Shipping is fast, packaged with care, the price is right, and the customer service is excellent!

This year one of my radiators developed a new problem - air vents started spitting.......checked everything, but couldn't find anything....even tried a few different makes, but this one stopped the problem.

I replaced several 30 yr old inproperly placed valves with the Gorton valves and rebalanced my system. After talking with a plumbing supply store in town i received the recommendation to use these valaves. I totally recommend if your replacing your old, mineral crusted valves.
