Gundfos makes a great pump
I replaced a 37 year old Gundfos pump that had just developed a noisy bearing. Ordered a replacement Gundfos from Supply House. Next day, free delivery and $80 less that a local wholesale supplier. Very happy.

Sorry for the slow review, there were electrical hookup problems unrelated to the pump in the system. Replaced 2 smaller pumps with this one on a hot water solar system.

great in the proper application
used a pair of these to pump water from a hot water storage tank to an 80 gallon walk in bath tub. Fill time takes about 4 minutes with approx. 11 feet of head. Works great.

Easy Replacement
My existing UP26-99F was getting very noisy and I wasn't thrilled about paying a plumber retail for a new pump plus service call fees. The only issue I had out of the box was the direction of flow was just the opposite of what I needed. I removed the four hex bolts, turned the unit 180 degrees and replaced the bolts. No hassle at all. The mounting was straight forward as were the electrical connections. After about 10 minutes of running, any air that had displaced the water in the original pump was replaced by water and I once again had a very quiet pump.

Q: The Laars parts catalogue asks for UP 26-99 F (single speed) but the plumber installed UP S26-99 FC (three speed). Any problem with that? Further, the Grundfos instructions call for the terminal box to be installed either side of the pump, it was installed on top of the pump. Any reasons for the Grundfos instructions? Thanks

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThe UPS26-99FC is a 3 speed pump as well (sku 52722512) and has a range of 0-33 GPM and 0-29 FT of Head. So that does seem to be a possibility to replace the UPS15-58FC but compare the pumps curves to see if the ranges fit what is needed for the application.

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffThis pump is flanged, with available flange options of 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2". The flanges are purchased separately as they are based on the pipe size. So the 1" flanges would have to be purchased separately, sku is 519602.

Q: I purchased a UPS26-99 pump, which came with two square o-rings. I also purchased a flange set which included two flange shaped gaskets. Which of the two, the o-ring, or gasket, should I use. I am mating one flange to an existing flat plate flange which is part of a water tank, the other to the flange set I purchased. Thanks!
