–
ALPHA HWR is a high-efficiency circulator fitted with a stainless-steel housing. It is built with an ECM (Electronically Commutated Motor) for maximum performance. It is designed to circulate domestic hot water in systems with a dedicated return line. The circulator comes with built-in temperature control, eliminating the need for an external aquastat. This small, compact hot water circulation pump provides instant hot water to the homeowner and fits with tank and tankless water heaters. The ALPHA HWR meets the energy conservation standards for circulator pumps that the Department of Energy established, which will take effect in May 2028.

- Dry-run protection stops the pump if water is not detected in the system
- Built-in digital timer makes it possible to schedule the pump's on/off hours, helping save energy when hot water is not required in the home
- High-efficiency platform with a permanent magnet motor (ECM) that helps reduce energy consumption by up to 80%
- AUTOADAPT functionality finds the lowest flow rate that will achieve hot water at the farthest fixture
- Temperature mode maintains the temperature without running 100% of the time
- Maintains one of the highest Energy rating in the market (192) based on the Hydraulic Institute Energy Rating
- FLOWSENSE technology helps master the flow to reduce the risk of pinholes
- Bluetooth connectivity for easy pump control and operational trend data

I would buy this product again
Using this for hot water recirculation in a residential setting.
I did have a failure when configuring this pump during the firmware upgrade process. SupplyHouse took care of me though! Shipped a new one right out.

I would buy this product again and again
Installed this for our hot water recirculation loop about a month ago. The AutoAdapt feature is a real time saver since it adjusts speed based on demand without manual intervention. Runs virtually silent. The Grundfos Go app connectivity is a nice bonus
for monitoring and scheduling. Solid build quality and the union connections made installation straightforward. Hot water is available almost instantly at every fixture now. Would recommend for anyone tired of waiting on hot water.

Why metric in America?
Pump is great. However, the metrics displayed in the Grundfos Go app are in metric which is annoying. I don't understand why they can't be switched to imperial to accommodate their largest customer base. Like I said, though, great pump.

Thank you for providing this feedback. To update from metric to imperial in the Grundfos Go App, first select the hamburger more menu on the bottom right of your app (☰). Then, select profile > units select US customary.

Make your life easier
This smart pump with AutoAdapt keeps the water in your hot water lines hot all the time. It barely runs, circulating thru your loop and shutting down when up to your preset temp range. Amazing. I also have it shut down at night by schedule. A huge water savings and no frustration at the sink or shower waiting on hot water. Connects to your smart phone for settings and useful data/history. Definitely worth the cost.
