Small Jobs, Pool Plumbing
I keep coming back to these for small jobs. It's the perfect size where you'll use it all up on one job, like pool plumbing modification. Plenty to complete job but no/little waste. Love the performance and consistency- it sets so fast. A few secs holding pipe/fitting and no push-out. Locally available glues tend to be slower setting, I guess allowing for imperfect joints that have to be "fudged" during make-up.
After cutting your pieces, I find it helps to remove any rough edge with a small foam sanding block- seems to help with questionable pipe getting hung up in the hub as it sets. Clean/glue as usual, esp on pool plumbing.. I am old school- products catering to pool service aren't for me. Clean, -then- glue your PVC. :-)

No question of fittings or pipe "pushing out." Clean and apply cement, push together, hold a few seconds, and you're *done.*
