The Honeywell Home F300E1001 Electronic Air Cleaner is a duct-mounted whole-home filtration system that captures up to 98% of airborne particles between 3.0 and 10.0 microns, including dust, pollen, pet dander, and mold spores. Designed for forced air heating, cooling, or ventilating systems with a 16-inch by 20-inch return duct opening, this electronic air cleaner uses an electrostatic charging process to trap particles that standard filters miss. It handles air flow up to 1200 CFM and operates on standard 120-volt household power. The F300E1001 replaces older models F300A1620 and FH8000A1620, delivering cleaner air throughout your home without the recurring cost of disposable high-efficiency filters.
The F300E1001 mounts in the return air duct of forced air HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems. It requires a 16-inch by 20-inch duct opening and approximately 6.75 inches of depth for installation. The unit operates on 120 volts AC at 0.4 amps maximum (60 Hz) and must be wired to a power source that activates when the HVAC blower runs. Replacement media post-filters use part number 50000293-001, and replacement prefilters use part number 209989 (sold separately in packs of two).
Install the F300E1001 in the return air duct between the air intake and the furnace or air handler, following the directional airflow arrows stamped on the unit cabinet. The cabinet includes stamped mounting tabs with accessible screw holes on both flanges for secure duct attachment. For maintenance, wipe the ionizing wires with a damp cloth monthly for a quick efficiency boost. Full cleaning of the electrostatic cells in hot soapy water or a dishwasher restores peak performance and is recommended annually or more frequently in high-dust environments. Replace the media post-filters as they become visibly loaded with debris, typically once per year.
The Honeywell Home F300E1001 is backed by a 10-year Clean Coil Guarantee that protects the downstream evaporator coil when the air cleaner is maintained according to manufacturer guidelines. The unit is UL Listed under report E30954 for safety and performance.
A: The electrostatic collector cells in the F300E1001 are designed to last for many years with proper cleaning. Honeywell recommends washing the cells annually to restore peak efficiency, though units in dustier environments may benefit from more frequent cleaning every six months. The disposable media post-filters (part number 50000293-001) should be replaced as they become visibly loaded, typically once per year depending on usage.
A: The F300E1001 operates only when the HVAC blower is running. When the blower in your furnace, air conditioner, or heat pump turns off, the electronic air cleaner also turns off automatically. This ensures filtration occurs whenever air circulates through your duct system without wasting electricity when the system is idle.

This unit can be mounted in any position, however it cannot be mounted with the access door facing down.
Whenever your furnace or air conditioning fan operates, the electronic air cleaner will operate. Therefore, whenever your cleaner is in the "on" position, and your thermostat fan switch is on, the cleaner will be working.
There is an air flow sensor switch built into the air clean which detects air flow and turns the unit on.
The device has an air flow sensor. WHen it detects airflow from your fan, it turns on. There is a way to override this and have it turn on when the AC power is applied in the instruction manual.
There is a 10 year warranty on the unit as a whole.
The pre and post filters are both included and there is nothing else required for installation.
This product should be installed by a professional or someone who is experienced with ductwork.
