Unfortunately this is only compatible with a 24v unit so it would not be compatible.
Yes the outer ring spins to set the temperature.
I can't find any specs on your T8775A1017 to match a replacement to.
we don't have tech info like that, it would be best to contact Taco or Honeywell to trouble shoot.
if they are all 24volt then yes. thermostats can be mixed w no issue.
This stat is a power stealing unit and requires a 24V transformer to operate so will not work on millivolt systems a good alternative is a pro5000 Honeywell it will require you to use the battery feature but they are good accurate stats.. hope this helps..Dave
check sub base holes where stat makes the connection. maybe something is preventing a connection. I believe you could clean it out with a paper clip. (with power off)
If you take the thermostat of the wall and jumper the two wires together does the boiler come on? If it doesn't then some thing isn't wired properly. If it does then you may need to add the resistor that came with the thermostat as per instructions. If this doesn't fix it then you either need to add a isolation relay or change models of thermostats. I would suggest a more knowledgeable contractor also. He should of been able to give you or do theses things for you.
You can disconnect the thermostat to see if the boiler is still running. If the unit is not running, you likely have a defective/broken thermostat. If the unit is still running then you probably have an issue with the boiler control.
first you got to no if you got zone.is the zone valve stuck open to many question to ask you
I don't have the answer for you, but I had a similiar problem. Set temp. at 70 deg., room temp. display rose to 88 deg. The thermostat continuously called for heat even though the "flame" heat-on icon was not displayed. I called Honeywell's toll free number and was told that a professional installer would have to come and verify that the t-stat was defective before I could place a warranty claim. I replaced it with the basic round heat only model CT87 and everything works fine now. This was easier faster and cheaper than hiring a pro to tell me the t-stat was defective.
Yes, you can use part T8775A1009 to replace your existing thermostats.
We would recommend that you check the transformer and wiring to make sure they are wired correctly and that the transformer is sized correctly.
