yes, approximately 1.5 degrees as per the manual.
Yes. It works for on and off too.
Yes! The one illustrated is a good choice, if it does all that you want your thermostat to do. I actually use them in my home, and have replaced older analog thermostats, but not until they malfunction. My heating system is radiant, so programmable is not needed. So unless you want it to have your home warmed up, when you arrive from work or ? , it is a good choice. I still retain an old analog thermostat as a backup, in case I have a digital one that fails at some inopportune time. (I have about 8 of these in my home and shop, and have had one failure in the last 9 years) Regards
Sounds like maybe you switched the readout from Celcius to Fahrenheit? Sent from my iPad
Here is a link to instructions for your thermostat: http://s3.supplyhouse.com/product_files/White%20Rodgers%20-%201E78-140%20-%20Install%20Instructions.pdf Under thermostat detail they are showing a jumper wire W904, make sure that these are not making contact. Before this jumper is clipped (cut) it will display in F once this jumper wire is clipped then it will display in C.
yes, I am running Napoleon GDS28 gas stove with this thermostat.
I do not know what you fireplace unit recommends, you need to verify that recommendation. My Napoleon Fireplace works with a standard thermostat, and would work with the one you are asking about. Glen
Sorry, discard the first reply. No you can wire this to supply 120VAC power through the thermostat, but when wired in the thermostat spot inside the fireplace gas control circuit, it will run only when thermostat calls for heat as long as your power switch is on, and turn off when temperature was reached. Thermostat will trigger relay in the fireplace control circuit that will allow gas to be turned on and if you also have power blower it will turn on the blower when trigger temperature was reached.
No, it is not energy star rated.
This thermostat will work with systems that require a low-voltage thermostat, regardless of the the type of fuel that powers the heat source.
Yes I use for a natural gas fireplace and it works very well with no problems.
In my case I just wanted a more accurate thermostat compared to the usual mechanical ones. My use was for a greenhouse application to close a window when the temperature dropped to a certain level.
I use it with gas heat via a radiant floor heating system and they work perfectly!
Yes it can be used for a standard 24 volt heating system. Or it will also work with a millivolt system in a gas fireplace. Connected by DROID on Verizon Wireless
Yes it will!

in the instructions in notes where and what "lead" to clip. Pretty straight forward.
