Good for the home handyman
I bought this tool so I wouldn't need to worry about renting a crimper every time I needed to do a little plumbing around the house. It works fine for my needs but it was a little sloppy and takes a bit of adjusting to get it crimping just right. All in all it's great for doing small jobs around the house, or maybe if you only do PEX installs occasionally. It takes a couple minutes to switch the dies from one size to another but otherwise did the job just fine for me. I was pleased to see they included a couple of spare screws that might get lost as you use the tool over time- a very nice touch. Overall I'm glad I bought it.

Great tool!
This has been a great crimp tool. Right out of the box, every crimp has been a "go" on the go/no go gauge. The only word of caution - plan your run before you crimp! This must be opened to a near 180 degrees to get around the crimp ring. Remember this if you are crimping inbetween studs, however, that does not hinder it's quality. It's a great working tool.

Worked for me
I purchased this for a replumbing project in my house. I had never worked with PEX before, but I am a pretty regular DIYer. Tool worked fine for me right out of the box, and I have not adjusted it yet. I check every crimp with the go/no-go tester and havne't had a problem yet. No leaks. Swapping out the heads is pretty easy, so I can't complain about that. All in all, its fine.

I liked the crimper!!!
Crimper worked well!! However, I was a little confused about the calibration. The crimper is adjustable. There is a go-no-go guage to verify a proper crim. I adjusted the crimper three times and did not see a difference in the go-no-go guage. I was affraid to adjust further. I could not rotate a fitting after crimping. I stopped adjusting the crimper!!

The tools does a great job of making quality crimps right out of the box, no adjustments necessary. The down side is that it is definitely a two handed tool and it does not fit in tight spaces.

Worked perfectly right out of the case
No problems with this tool. No fine adjustment needed as initial test crimp revealed that it had been factory set up (I assume) ready to go. Watch orientation of allen head for dies (be sure facing away from fitting) as even at the max 1/4" spacing from fitting it would be easy to shear the head.

Q: can i just buy the 3/4" crimp dye. I have the 1/2" wrench, but have one pipe that is 3/4" do not want to spend 100.00 to crimp one pipe.
