Description
–
ProLock Push-to-Connect Couplers are the easiest and most dependable way to join Copper, PEX, or CPVC pipe in any combination with no solder, glue, or tools required. JG ProLock fittings use a collet with stainless steel teeth that grips the pipe when fully inserted, and an EPDM O-Ring to provide a permanent, leak-proof seal. When twisted into place, the locking cap locks the pipe in place and creates an audible click, ensuring maximum security. Disconnection is just as easy with no tools needed; simply twist the cap 1/4 in. turns counterclockwise to unlock then depress collet against the fitting to remove the pipe.
Lead-free, Full flow, & UV Resistant. ProLock Twist-to-Lock fittings are suitable for hot and cold potable water and hydronic heating applications.
They have been specifically designed for the Professional Plumber. Code approved for behind-the-wall installations. 25-Years warranty.

Better than Sharkbite
These are great to use in a situation where there's a good chance you're not looking for a permanent install. They're much easier to remove than Sharkbites.

Is time on my side?
This was a first time use. I managed to drive a screw through an active cold water supply (don't ask). The repair was fast and simple, and after two weeks the fitting has not shed a tear. Will it last? Only time will tell.
