The quick convert adapter allows the installation of a new Kidde alarm to an existing Firex® wiring harness. This allows for easy installation when replacing the specified smoke alarm brands with a Kidde product. The smoke alarm adapter also allows the specified brands and models to be interconnected with other Kidde products.
- Helps you to quickly replace Firex® or wire-in smoke alarms. The KA-F2 can only be used when replacing Firex® models: FADC, ADC, AD.
- The KA-F2 can be used with all AC/DC Kidde smoke and combination alarms.
- Each adapter includes a 5 year limited warranty.

It seemed like a great thing to be able to swap in a new smoke detector without any rewiring. But the connector was hard to insert into the old smoke detector and the new smoke detector. I really had to push hard. Maybe that was me or how it should be. But the wiring box was already crowded and adding the connector made it too crowded. But SupplyHouse let me return them with no hassle.

Problem Solved
I needed to replace multiple FireX smoke alarms but Kidde bought the company and changed the connection. Enter SupplyHouse who had retrofit connectors. The right price, fast shipping and problem solved.
