The Liberty 404L Pump is a pre-assembled 1/3 HP drain pump with a basin. These drain pumps are applicable to bar sinks, laundry trays, dehumidifiers, utility sinks and gray wastewater drainage below gravity lines and designed for wastewater systems. The Liberty Pump 404L comes with a float switch that has a piggyback plug for temporary manual operation of the pump. A union must be installed just above the pump to facilitate removal if necessary for cleaning and service. It has a 2" discharge with two ports, one on the top of the drain pump and one on the side. They can either be used as a vent or inlet (2"). A trap should be used between the fixture and the pump.

Liberty 404 drain pump
Appears to be a very well built and solid unit.
Compact, it drains the tank in 3.5 seconds.
Nice to be able to get into it for fixing if needed.

Randomly stops working
Installed for a year, this pump randomly stops working and has been flooding my basement. When we get flooding you can lightly shake the pump and then it will engage again. This has been incredibly frustrating as it is only used for a wash machines discharge.

Quick and quiet
A client's kitchen drain failed in a basement apartment so we located this unit under the sink in th cabinet. A hole in th bottom of th cabinet and a pc of pink foam on the conc floor and it is prty quiet. I used a trap from the sink and the other inlet is a 2" pvc tube filled with chunks of charcoal to mitigate odors. Threaded connection for service. A cap with small holes to vent and the end is above the floor of the sink in case of failure of the pump. We bushed down to 1" past the spring-check valve and it is still very fast. 3 faucets would never overwhelm the pump. I bought a spare check valve and tether switch for the future. Nice, powerful, compact unit.

So far so good
Installed this pump in my kitchen where plumbing for water and sewer was required. Needed to be run through the ceiling. Pump has only been installed and used for a week so far but works great. Plumber got it installed without a hitch and he commented on how powerful it was :)

Worst pump ever
I have this pump under the sink in my office 🏢, always have issues with it. Stop working frequently until it died, had to hit it and shake it so it will work otherwise it is over flooded, even I did use this sink to wash only coffee ☕ cups . anyway garbage product.
