Must have in every home
This is the best basement sub pump backup system out there. It's attached to your cold water pipe and utilizes the water preasure to remove unwanted water in the basement, no electric power required, no battery needed. My float was not working properly. The Liberty Pump Float Kit was available at SupplyHouse, it was a quick fix at a low cost. I would recommend Liberty water backup pump to anyone with a wet basement. A must have in every home. SupplyHouse had the part and delivered in two days, awesome service.

Not compatible with SJ10
I had Liberty Pump SJ10 installed last month, but the float was defective and would remain stuck in the up position. Seemed like a somewhat common issue for this model, so rather than uninstall and return I ordered the float kit. This float kit is not compatible with the SJ10. The plunger shroud on the current SJ10 does not just twist off as described in the instructions. It was attached with 4 screws, and therefore I couldn't simply twist the new one in place. Customer service gave me a bit of a hard time refunding the shipping for an item that had the wrong description, but overall a good customer service experience getting the item returned

This is the wrng replacement part for sj10 (B89)
This is the incorrect part for SJ10 (B89). the correct part number is K001496 float switch assembly. it uses three screws that have to be removed from old unit and then re installed with the new unit.
You will break your pump trying to remove the old float in the instructions provided with K001190

Directions are misleading
So I see 2 different reviews one saying it easily unthread it and the other saying u have to remove screws and piece it together. Well, unfortunately the directions included make it seem like u can easily unthread it and tread the new one in, but unfortunately that's not the case. The directions are wrong , you have to remove 3 screws and piece it together per liberty pump's customer service. I have no idea why the included directions are wrong. I'm shocked I didn't break the pump based on how hard I was trying to unthread the float based on the directions.

Perfect replacement for SJ10
This was a perfect replacement for the SJ10. I saw the one-star review saying this didn't fit the SJ10 but decided to give this a try anyway - turns out it's a perfect fit and that person had no idea what they're talking about. Yes there are screws but you don't unscrew them. The entire assembly unscrews and the replacement fit exactly, and now I don't have an issue with the float sticking anymore. Also shipping took less than 48 hours - thank you!
